This online series contributes to the mission of the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOto) to ensure that, at the time of recertification, diplomates certified by the ABOto have met the ABOto's professional standards of training and knowledge in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
The series addresses Part II (Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment) of the Maintenance of Certification requirements. In addition, these patient-case-based, peer-reviewed, interactive modules are a valuable tool for all otolaryngologists (whether or not they participate in the MOC program) in evaluating and improving decision-making skills in otolaryngology. The modules are graphically rich, allow for multiple pathways in management of the patient, and include a discussion of management and controversial areas, usually in the form of a videotaped panel discussion by content experts.

Current Practice is a self-study and assessment course for dentists. It forms a part of a Continuing Education program officially approved for Continuing Education credit by the ADA CERP.
Current Practice is sent four times a year – January, April, July, and October. Subscribers receive a package consisting of 3 specially selected articles from the leading professional journals, together with a set of 10 multiple choice questions for each article, an answer sheet, and an addressed envelope with which to send the answer sheet to the publisher for marking and recording. Upon completion of all 12 articles, all subscribers receive a certificate which qualifies for CE credit hours or points, according to the guidelines set by the respective licensing and CE authorities.
